Aggressive, Principled Lawyer in Surprise and Glendale, Arizona

Protecting Clients from Unfair, Abusive or Deceptive Conduct
At the Dodds Law Firm, PLC, I focus my practice on the needs of people who have been victims of abusive, deceptive or unfair practices; handling claims involving debt collection and credit reporting abuses; consumer fraud or misrepresentation; and landlord wrongdoing. I also provide comprehensive counsel on Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy filings.
I am committed to protecting the rights and benefits afforded to all individuals under state and federal law, as well as the U.S. Constitution. Before entering the practice of law, I spent 28 years in education, 14 years as a district superintendent. As a result, I know how to listen carefully and I know how to explain the law and procedures involved in a legal matter, as well as your rights and options, so that you can make informed choices.
I offer a free 30-minute consultation to all new clients. Contact my office online or call me at 623-208-6098 (toll-free at 877-827-9906) to set up an appointment at my Glendale or Surprise office.
My Practice
I am one of a handful of Arizona attorneys who focuses on protecting the rights of ordinary citizens who have been victims of unfair, deceptive or abusive conduct. I concentrate my efforts on matters involving:
- Bankruptcy. I handle all matters related to Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 filings, preparing all the required documentation and acting as your advocate in your creditors hearing, with the trustee or with the bankruptcy court. I will help you determine whether you qualify to permanently discharge debts under Chapter 7 or whether you should seek to reorganize your debt under Chapter 13.
- Debt collection and credit reporting abuses. I handle claims under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (the FDCPA) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), protecting the rights of people who have been mistreated by debt collectors or creditors.
- Unfair or deceptive business practices. I represent people who have been victims of consumer fraud, where businesses or business owners have misrepresented material facts to induce the sale or purchase of goods or services.
- Abusive acts by residential landlords. I protect the rights of tenants in landlord-tenant disputes, enforcing your rights under the Arizona Residential Landlord Tenant Act.
